Ukraine was provided with the opportunity to import the gas from Poland, Slovakia and Hungary
GTS Operator of Ukraine and GTS Operator of Poland called Gaz System S.A. agreed on the introduction of firm gas import capacities since the 6th of March. Ukrainians will be able to receive the gas from 3 directions.

The press office of GTS operator of Ukraine reported about this.
It is known that now the participants of the Ukrainian market will be able to receive the gas without transit from 3 directions – Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
Ukraine consumes 100-120 million m3 of gas a day on average. For the last 3 months GTS Operator of Ukraine has struck a deal with GTS Operators of the related systems that had increased firm gas import capacities to more that 50 million m3 per day which is about half of the country's natural gas needs.
