Ukraine’s Defense Ministry names number of women serving in Ukrainian army

As of January 2024, the Ukrainian army has 45,587 women in service, marking an increase of over 2,000 compared to October 2023

Military Media Center shared the information.

"As of January 2024, 45,587 servicewomen are serving in the Ukrainian army. This is 2,108 more persons than in October 2023," the report says.

It noted that 13,487 women have the status of combatants.

Overall, in 2024, the total number of women in the Ukrainian Armed Forces reached 62,000. In 2014, this figure was 49,000
