Ukraine to get interim report on implementation of EU accession recommendations by late spring – PM Shmyhal
By the end of this spring, the European Commission is to provide Ukraine with an interim report on the implementation of seven recommendations for the EU accession
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during a press conference following his visit to Italy.
“Ukraine has fulfilled all seven recommendations of the European Commission that we received when we were granted candidate status. We are implementing all the necessary reforms to join the European Union despite the war. We have created an anti-corruption structure that is fully operational,” the prime minister said.
According to him, Ukraine is fully prepared for the negotiation procedure at the end of 2023.
“I hope that by the end of spring, the European Commission will announce an interim report on the results of the implementation of the seven recommendations. And the official report in the fall will open the door to the negotiation procedure,” he emphasized.
