Ukraine should invest in developing, producing its own weapons - officer Hai
Ukrainian Armed Forces Officer Myroslav Hai says that Ukraine should develop and invest in its own military-industrial complex in wartime conditions
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi spoke very well in an interview with foreign media about what Ukraine needs for victory. In particular, we need long-range artillery systems and shells for them. Also, Ukraine lacks unmanned aircraft. This is in addition to what was already announced by the higher military-political leadership of Ukraine,” Hai noted.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces officer emphasized the importance of the development of the Ukrainian military industry.
“Ukraine needs to invest much more money in the development and production of its own weapons. Especially those samples that have already proven themselves on the battlefield. In particular, the R-360 Neptune missiles, the Vilkha anti-aircraft missile defense system, and the Bohdana self-propelled guns. It is also important to continue to manufacture Stuhna anti-tank complexes, which have shown their effectiveness on the battlefield. All this is important to do now. Since, in addition to international military support, we also have to develop our own military-industrial complex,” he added.

On December 20, Ukroboronprom spokeswoman Natalia Sad reported that the production of artillery shells had been launched in Ukraine. “In order to be able to supply shells to our artillery, we made serial production on the territory of Ukraine. Previously, we imported these shells from abroad, looking for them in partner warehouses. However, the warehouses are running out, and the volumes that we increase every month are not enough. We have secured the support of our allies and will increase the volume of projectile production at foreign facilities, that is, abroad,” Sad said.
