Ukraine returns bodies of 61 fallen defenders
Ukraine has returned the bodies of 61 fallen soldiers. In total, since May 2022, when the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons was established, 888 bodies have been returned.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration.
"Today, with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration and the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, the bodies of 61 Ukrainian defenders have been returned to their families," the press service said.
"The transfer of the bodies took place in accordance with the Geneva Convention and in compliance with international humanitarian law," they added.
The agency noted that since the beginning of the Office of the Commissioner's work, the bodies of 888 fallen defenders have been returned.
- On February 4, Ukraine returned 116 defenders from Russian captivity, including Mariupol defenders, Kherson guerrillas and snipers from the Bakhmut sector.
