The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine informs about this.
Ukraine secured additional funding under the project titled “The Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance” (PEACE in Ukraine).
The financial support comprises a $1.086 billion loan from the World Bank, facilitated through the Trust Fund "Advancing Needed Credit Enhancement for Ukraine" (ADVANCE Ukraine) with the backing of the Japanese government.
In addition to the loan, the supplementary funding includes grants:
- $190 million from Norway via the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF).
- $50 million from the United States government.
- $20 million from the Swiss government.
These funds are earmarked for partially offsetting non-security-related expenses in Ukraine's state budget, specifically for pensions and payments to State Emergency Service personnel.
- Prime Minister Shmyhal had previously announced the forthcoming additional financing from the World Bank.
- On December 14, the Swedish government approved an aid package of €124 million for Ukraine, intended for civil infrastructure development.
