Ukraine propose to include port of Mykolaiv in grain deal

Ukraine has officially appealed to international partners with a proposal to include the port of Mykolaiv in the "grain agreement", which will significantly increase the export of agricultural products

This was announced by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on agricultural and land policy Oleksandr Haidu, the press service of the parliament reports.

"Before the full-scale war, a third of exported agricultural products were shipped through the ports of Mykolaiv. In the current conditions, this may be an additional 2-2.5 million tons of agricultural exports per month. Therefore, the involvement of the ports of Mykolaiv in the grain initiative is appropriate, meaningful and extremely necessary for the city, its residents and farmers," Haidu said.

Currently, Ukraine exports grain from the ports of Great Odesa: Odesa, Chernomorsk and Pivdennyi.
