Ukraine, Poland sign memorandum on construction of oil pipeline to Gdansk port
Ukraine and Poland have signed a quadrilateral Memorandum on the project for the construction of a cross-border pipeline through which Ukrainian oil will be transported to the port of Gdańsk.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
On the Ukrainian side, the memorandum was signed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Infrastructure, and on the Polish side by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Infrastructure.
In the near future, Ukraine and Poland will create a working group, the purpose of which will be to work out the technical characteristics and conditions for the construction of the pipeline and two terminals.
"For the past six months, we have been actively working on increasing the volume of exports of domestic agricultural products through joint checkpoints with the Republic of Poland. We are also working on reducing queues at the Ukrainian-Polish border," commented the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi.
The ministry reminds that Ukrainian sunflower oil before the war was exported to 107 countries of the world, and its largest consumers are located in Europe (37%), Southeast Asia (29%) and Asia (14.9%).
