On the ninth competition day in Paris, Yehor Dementiev won gold in cycling in the group road race in the C5 class. The Ukrainian became a four-time Paralympic champion overall.
In athletics, Liudmyla Danylina finished second in the 1500-meter race in the T20 class with a time of 4 minutes 28.40 seconds. This was the third medal in her career at the Paralympic Games.
Maksym Nikolenko won a bronze medal in table tennis. This became known after he lost in the semifinals to Shuai Zhao from China.
Ukraine at the Paralympics
Ukrainian Paralympians have already secured 16 gold, 21 silver and 27 bronze medals. The national team currently holds 7th place in the overall medal standings.
