Ukraine needs to increase mobilization to prepare reserves - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Lapin
Ihor Lapin, an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, believes that Ukraine should intensify mobilization efforts to train reservists
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"I believe that the activity of the Russian forces in recent weeks is related to the waves of mobilized people who are already on the territory of Ukraine. That is, freshly mobilized Russians, having been trained in Belarus, are transferred to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. That is why they continue to use their tactics of fierce fire, but not with the help of artillery, but with manpower," Lapin explained.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces officer is convinced that Ukraine should train the army of reservists more actively.
"Russia's mobilization resource is very large. This does not mean that they will be able to mobilize 25 million people now, but they are actively using the mobilization resource for the war against Ukraine. At the same time, I believe that Ukraine is not doing enough to mobilize. We need to do a better job of preparing reserves. I'm not talking about mobilization as much as I'm talking about training a reserve army. It is time to actively work on this," he added.
