Volodymyr Molchanov, a political scientist from Kherson, said this on Espreso.
"When it comes to the retreat of the Russians, they will blow up everything they can. There is no reason to doubt, they will not leave gas distribution stations, water wells, or electric substations. The only hope is that they will not blow up the dam of the Kakhovka HPP in order to have a hope of still getting water to Crimea. Only when they hope to return, if not, can they blow up the dam and blame Ukraine for everything," he said.
The political scientist emphasized that the Russians do not have any moral safeguards and must be prepared for this.
"This concerns the residents of Kozatske and Nova Kakhovka, where such nuances are possible, because the dam is also mined," Molchanov added.
He answered the question of what actions of Ukraine can be justified and effective.
"The only people to turn to are to inform the American allies and demand more long-range missiles for HIMARS in order to "take hostage" some objects of the infrastructure of the Russian Federation, in particular the Kursk NPP, possibly Novovoronezhsk. For Russia, only the fear of retaliation is the only thing that can hold them," the political scientist concluded.
