Ukraine must defend its EU interests to prevent “Soviet Union 2.0” — Parliament speaker
Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, named European integration as the country’s primary direction, stressing the importance of defending national interests within the EU

He said this while presenting the government’s Action Plan, Espreso journalist Kateryna Halko reports.
“The first vector for Ukraine is unquestionably European integration, because it affects many things: security, trust, logic, and cooperation with our partners. For me, European integration is not a list of laws we receive with an EU flag, it is about the meanings behind it,” Stefanchuk said.
He emphasized that Kyiv must defend national interests in the future, united within the European Union.
“To ensure that a threat called ‘Soviet Union 2.0’ never hangs over us again, because our future is a European future,” the speaker added.
