Oleh Nikolenko, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, denied Russia’s statement on Facebook.
"Ukraine has never used and never planned to use “the grain corridor” for military purposes. The Ukrainian side fully complies with the provisions of the Black Sea grain agreement... Our state did not assume any new obligations that would go beyond those already existing in the grain agreement," the representative said.
According to him, the UN and Turkey have impelled Russia to honour its commitments within the "grain agreement" framework.
"The UN and Turkey found ways to persuade Putin," explained Nikolenko.
