This is stated by the press service of the European Council.
It is stated that "Iran provides military support for Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine", and in view of this, the Council of Europe decided on 20 July to include five individuals involved in the development and supply of drones to Russia in the list of persons, organisations and bodies subject to restrictive measures.
On August 4, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway joined the sanctions. The latter three are members of the European Economic Area.
