Investment banker explains reasons behind Ukraine's economy growth
Investment banker Serhiy Fursa noted that thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it was possible to restore full exports from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The economy in Ukraine is growing, inflation is under control, and the exchange rate is also stable. This is the second year of economic growth with stable inflation, which is a miracle for a country in a major war. This can be explained by Western assistance, which has helped to maintain macro-financial stability," Fursa said.
According to the investment banker, thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, full exports from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa have been restored.
"The government's task now is not to interfere. Because the state has no money for programs and will not have any until the end of the war. The only place where the state has intervened and helped to ensure economic growth is in the Black Sea, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces intervened. They cleared the Black Sea of Russian ships, and this allowed for the resumption of full exports from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa. This is the driver of economic growth this year," Fursa emphasized.
- EU Chief Diplomat Josep Borrell said he would propose that the EU allocate 90% of the proceeds from Russian assets frozen in Europe to purchase weapons for Ukraine.
