Ukraine informs OSCE that Russia's army losses exceed Ukraine's eightfold
Current losses of Ukrainian Defense Forces are eight times lower than Russian occupation army losses
Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, Natalia Kostenko, made this statement during a session of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation, as reported by Ukrinform
"Ukraine is waging the war differently than Russia. Our strategy is to do everything possible to preserve the lives of our military personnel and liberate the occupied territories with minimal losses. In contrast, Russia's strategy is to capture territory at any cost, disregarding the sacrifices among the civilian population and even their own military personnel. This is clearly evidenced by the losses suffered by the Russian army, which according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, exceed ours by at least eight times," she said.
Kostenko stated that the Russian Supreme Commander-in-Chief's emphasis on the "human wave" tactic has already "yielded results." Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost over 230,000 servicemen, more than 4,000 tanks, up to 5,000 artillery pieces and multiple rocket launchers, as well as over 600 aircraft and helicopters.
Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the OSCE emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on multiple fronts, united by the common goal of restoring Ukraine's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
"Being united in our pursuit of this goal, our forces are gradually advancing in the east and south, forcing the enemy to retreat. As a result of Ukrainian counteroffensive actions over the past week, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have successfully continued to liberate territories in the Bahmut, Melitopol, and Berdiansk directions. In total, since the beginning of the counteroffensive operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated over 150 square kilometers," Kostenko reported.
- It should be noted that in the past 24 hours, on July 5, the Russian army lost 670 soldiers, 36 artillery systems, and 12 UAVs in Ukraine.
