Ukraine honors children killed by Russian aggression

It is noted that according to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, from the beginning of hostilities on April 14, 2014, until the end of 2021, 152 children died and 146 children were injured. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the number of victims among children is increasing daily. And it is impossible to establish the actual number of dead and wounded children due to active hostilities.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also wrote about this on Telegram.

"13-year-old Dmytro from Kharkiv, 4-year-old Lisa from Vinnytsia, Serhii from Novosolone who was just 2 days old. They are among five hundred innocent children whose lives were destroyed by Russia's onslaught.

Many of them could have become famous scholars, artists, sports champions, contributing to Ukraine's history. They fell victim to the enemy's missiles and hate, which keep ravaging and claiming lives of young Ukrainians," the post reads.

It is still impossible to establish the exact number of injured children due to active hostilities and the temporary occupation of a part of the Ukrainian territory.
