Ukraine’s General Staff reports the information.

As part of degrading the capabilities of Russia’s occupying forces, on September 29, Ukrainian forces launched four missiles at the Karachevsky Electrodetal Plant in the city of Karachev, Bryansk region, Russia. The General Staff noted that the missiles had a range of over 240 kilometers.

“The Karachevsky Electrodetal Plant produces a variety of electrical connectors for military and general industrial applications, including low-frequency, high-frequency, and combined connectors. Its products are used in the aerospace, electronics, instrumentation, and other industries. This includes connectors for printed circuit boards, military equipment, aircraft, antennas, base stations, and other systems, as well as components for various measuring instruments,” the General Staff clarified.

Explosions and a fire were reported on the site. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Kovalenko, the Electrodetal plant specializes in producing basic components for military equipment.

“Its products are used in missile control systems, aviation and space technology, tanks, APCs and other armored vehicles, communications complexes and control instruments. In fact, Electrodetal is part of the Russian military‑industrial complex - without it, the assembly and repair of modern Russian weapons is disrupted,” Kovalenko added.
