The SBI press service reported this.

The investigation has intercepts of conversations between Kulinich and his curator, former NSDC Deputy Secretary Volodymyr Sivkovych. They revealed that Kulinich had been recruited by the FSB and given the operational nickname 'Kotyhoroshko.' He was notified of suspicion in several other proceedings:

  • in unauthorized leaving of the place of service committed by a serviceman under martial law (part 5 of Article 407 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);

  • in the seizure of weapons and ammunition by a military official with abuse of office by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law (Part 4 of Article 410 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);

  • in the illegal possession of firearms without a statutory permit (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and others.

“Oleh Kulinich was a confidant of Volodymyr Sivkovych. He actively cooperated with the 'political office' created by the FSB and followed the instructions of the curators to introduce 'his people' into various state and law enforcement agencies, conduct intelligence and subversive activities against Ukraine, espionage, and incite Ukrainian citizens to treason,” the SBI said.

The investigation also found that Kulinich was aware of Russia's plans to invade Crimea and mainland Ukraine, but concealed it from the SBU leadership and society.

Kulinich is currently in custody.
