Ukraine downs 9 cruise missiles, nearly 300 UAVs in Russia’s combined attack

Beginning at 8:15 p.m. on May 25, Russia launched a total of 364 aerial attack assets against Ukraine, including:
- 9 Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles fired from Tu-95MS strategic bombers (launched from Saratov region);
- 355 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and decoy drones of various types, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by Ukraine's aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) and drone units, and mobile fire groups.
As of 11:00 a.m., preliminary data indicates that air defenses shot down all 9 Kh-101 cruise missiles and neutralized 288 drones across the east, north, south, west, and center of the country.
In addition, 233 UAVs were shot down with kinetic weapons, while another 55 were either jammed or lost contact due to electronic warfare.
- On the evening of Sunday, May 25, the Russian army launched attack drones at Ukraine, followed by missiles entering Ukrainian airspace later in the morning. The strikes caused damage in several regions.
