Ukraine deploys extra forces to counter Russian sabotage groups near Pokrovsk

Spokesperson for the General Staff Andriy Kovalov told Ukrinform that the highest Russian activity is observed near the settlements of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Mayak, Dorozhnie, Nykanorivka, Kucheriv Yar, Nove Shakhove, Novoekonomichne, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Promin, Udachne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Orikhove, and Dachne.

Russian forces, suffering heavy personnel losses, are attempting to break through in small groups.

“By decision of the Commander-in-Chief, additional forces and means have been allocated to detect and destroy enemy sabotage groups penetrating beyond the defensive line,” Kovalov said.

Preliminary reports indicate that Ukrainian troops have eliminated 64 and wounded 38 Russian soldiers, destroyed equipment, drones, a communications antenna, and motorcycles, as well as damaged a gun.
