Ukraine comments on conflict between Prigozhin and Russian Defense Ministry
The Office of the President of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have commented on the internal conflict between the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Russian Defense Ministry
Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office, made a statement.
"Classical Russian poetry... Tumultuous times are coming," he wrote.
The advisor also drew an analogy with historical processes in the Moscow kingdom. He called them irreversible.
"False Vladimir took the throne. Oprichniki go to ask questions: do we have a Tsar and is he real? The historical process is always irreversible..." Podolyak wrote.
In turn, a representative of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that the conflict between the Prigozhin and the Russian Defense Ministry is a consequence of Russia's criminal military aggression. He added that this conflict is internal.
"First of all, we need to understand that this is an internal Russian conflict and confrontation that is a direct consequence of the Putin regime's criminal military aggression against Ukraine," Yusov said.
He added that the current confrontation is a sign of the collapse of the current regime in Russia. Ukraine, in turn, he said, will monitor the further course of events.
