Ukraine can receive combat aircraft in more than 8 months
Defense Express military expert group’s CEO Serhiy Zgurets believes that Ukraine can get combat aircraft, but not earlier than in 8 months.
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV channel.
"Everything is happening with us now in the form of a shortage of time and weapons. This is also a sign of the supply of aircraft history. Aircraft may be more important to us today even than ATACMS long-range missiles. Because aircraft in combination with missiles and long-range means can do much more functions, destroying ground targets and providing air defense functions," Zgurets explained.
The military expert emphasized that there are positive developments in the matter of supplying Ukraine with combat aircraft.
"There are already statements by Reznikov and Kuleba that process of supplying Ukraine with combat aircraft has entered the active phase. Spokesman of Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat also noted that the types of aircraft that will be transferred to us had been determined. The Netherlands has announced that it is ready to provide aircraft to Ukraine. Therefore we are at another important stage of changing the situation for the better. However, the time frame for delivery of aircraft is much longer. In my opinion, we will be able to receive combat aircraft no earlier than in 8 months," he added.
