"Now F-16? I'm setting to work on it": Kuleba comments on allies next steps in supply of military equipment to Ukraine
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba commented on media reports that Ukraine would receive tanks by adding that allies are already lobbying for the delivery of F-16 aircraft.
He wrote about it on Facebook.
"F16 now?" - "So." - "I'm setting to work on it, friend." I just received a question from a European colleague. And answered him. He knows what to do," said the head of Ukrainian diplomacy.
And he added that Ukrainians already know that no matter how difficult it is, you can never give up:
"No matter how sad it is, you can't despair. No matter how hard enemies try, they will die like dew in the sun. You always have to believe and work hard. And everything will work out. Because Ukraine can do everything."
Kuleba did not specify which country he was talking about. But last week it became known that government of the Netherlands potentially are ready to discuss provision of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, if Kyiv expresses such a request.
Before that, Spiegel reported on Germany's decision to approve provision of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz is expected to announce provision of tanks to Ukraine on Wednesday during a speech in Bundeswehr, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Kyiv time. At the same time, he can announce that Germany allows re-export of Leopard 2 from other European countries.
