Ukraine brings 50 servicemen home from captivity, including soldiers from Mariupol and Chornobyl nuclear power plant
On January 8, Ukraine brought 50 soldiers home from Russian captivity: 33 officers and 17 privates and sergeants. They include soldiers from Mariupol and Chornobyl nuclear power plant
This was announced by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Telegram.
He noted that it was possible to return those servicemen who were captured at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, defenders of Mariupol and soldiers from the Donetsk direction, from near Bakhmut, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and other regions where the fighting continued.
"Another successful exchange of prisoners. We have returned home 50 of our warriors. These are the guys from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the territorial defence, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the Navy and the Special Forces. 33 officers and 17 privates and sergeants. This is not the last exchange. Our task is to return all our people and we will fulfill it," Yermak wrote.
