Ukraine asks UN, Red Cross to record possible show trial of Azov fighters in Mariupol
The Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Lubinets has appealed to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross about the possible show trial in Mariupol.
He said this during a national telethon, reports Espreso.
"We once again appeal to record another violation of the Geneva Convention, another war crime on the part of the Russian Federation, so that the record is made by both the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross," he said.
The ombudsman also appealed to his Russian colleague Tetyana Moskalkova, so that Russia would not allow the Russians to commit another crime, but he did not receive an answer.
