UK to include Wagner PMC in terrorist organizations list, media reports
Britain plans to list Wagner private military company as a terrorist organization, like ISIS and al-Qaeda
This is reported by The Times with reference to government sources.
Great Britain is ready to officially ban Wagner mercenary group as a terrorist organization in order to increase pressure on Russia, the agency emphasizes.
Wagner PMC played a significant role in the Russian full-scale invasion into Ukraine, and now attempts to take the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
The source said that after two months of building a court case, a ban on the group was imminent and was likely to be implemented within weeks.
Under the law, any activity involving Wagner would be considered criminal. This means that individuals cannot be members of the group, participate in its activities, promote its ideas or wear its symbols. Such violations will be subject to fines and other sanctions, just like ISIS and al-Qaeda.
