UK, Netherlands to work on coalition of fighter jets for Ukraine
The leaders of the UK and the Netherlands have agreed to create a coalition of fighter jets for Ukraine, and France and Belgium have supported them

“UK and Dutch pledge fighter jet support for Ukraine,” the tweet says.
This was also reported by the BBC, citing Downing Street.
“The [British] prime minister and Prime Minister Rutte have agreed that they will work to build an international coalition to provide Ukraine with combat air capability, providing support for everything from training [pilots] to the purchase of F-16 fighter jets,” the statement says.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also mentioned the coalition of fighter jets in his evening address:
“Yesterday, we agreed in Britain with Risi, Mr. Prime Minister, that we would work on a coalition of fighter jets - training, aircraft, results. Yesterday, this was supported by Mr. President Macron of France, and today it was supported by Mr. Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands. A good start for the coalition! Thank you all!”
The news was later confirmed by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak:
“We have good news from Iceland, where the Council of Europe summit has started. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte have agreed to work on creating an international coalition of fighter jets for Ukraine. We need F-16s and I am grateful to our allies for their decision to work in this direction, including training our pilots. In particular, Belgium has confirmed its readiness to train.”
