UAH 500 million raised for world's first fleet of marine drones
People from all over the world sent donations for the world's first fleet of marine drones, and the United24 platform has already raised UAH 500 million (USD 13 million) for the initiative
Mstyslav Banik, Head of Electronic Services Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, shared the information with Ukrinform in an interview.
"More than 50 different companies have joined the initiative since its launch. The amount of voluntary contributions to the world's first fleet of maritime drones has already crossed the UAH 500 million mark," he said.
In particular, the official noted that Lithuanians alone, together with journalist Andrius Tapinas, were able to raise funds for 3 such drones, which were named: Peace Da, Peace Dec and Peace Duke.

On November 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a fundraiser for the Ukrainian fleet of maritime drones on the UNITED24 fundraising platform. By the evening, funds had already been raised for the first drone - it will be named Kherson.

On November 11, Lithuanians, who had previously donated a Bayraktar to Ukraine, raised USD 250,000 for the second drone. By the end of the day, they had raised funds for 3 drones: 5 IT companies joined the initiative.

In less than a week, Ukraine raised funds for 25 maritime drones.
