Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak reported this on July 1.
“Unfortunately, war means losses. We are losing our heroes, as well as volunteers who are fighting for Ukraine against the Russian evil. These were the veterans of the Russian-Georgian war of 2008, Malkhaz Kvizhinadze and Joni Odishvili, who fought in the ranks of the Defense Forces,” Yermak wrote.
Yermak noted that Joni Odishvili was killed near Bakhmut, and Malkhaz Kvizhinadze was killed in the Luhansk region.
He also added that the plane with the bodies of the victims arrived in Georgia, where the heroes will be buried.
For reference.
According to Georgian media, the number of Georgian soldiers killed in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion is approaching 50.
