Turkey ready to contribute to resolving situation in Russia – Erdogan
In a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin amid the armed revolt in Russia, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said he was ready to do his part to resolve the situation as soon as possible

The Kremlin notes that Putin told Erdogan about the situation in Russia amid the armed rebellion.
"The President of the Republic of Turkey expressed his full support for the steps of the Russian leadership," the Kremlin said of the conclusions of the presidents' telephone conversation.
The Turkish media outlet Anadolu also reports that President Erdogan stressed the importance of acting with common sense during the meeting.
Emphasising that no one should take responsibility for what happened in Russia, Erdogan said during the meeting: "As Turkey, we are ready to contribute to solving what happened in this context as soon as possible."

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin amid the armed mutiny in Russia, calling the events in Russia their "internal affair".
