Turkey do not allow Russian warships to enter Black Sea
Russian Pacific Fleet's ships had been waiting for permission from Turkey to cross the Bosphorus since February, but had to return to Vladivostok
Andriy Klymenko, head of the monitoring group of the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, reports on Facebook.
According to him, ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet have been waiting for permission from Turkish authorities to cross the Bosphorus to enter the Black Sea since the beginning of February, but Turkey never gave them permission to do so, so they are returning to Vladivostok.
"Do you see Z and V letters on the pipes? It's like in the old joke: 'It isn't necessary'. And all through Turkey with its straits. And we waited for nine months. We were tired, there was nowhere to repair, the crews went wild", Klymenko wrote.
He added that the missile cruiser "Varyag" and large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Tributs" had been in the Mediterranean Sea since February 2 and were preparing to be thrown into the Black Sea to attack Ukrainian territory.
On April 10, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that Ankara will not allow Russian warships into the Black Sea as long as Russia's war against Ukraine continues.
