Turkey declares support for Zelenskyy's Peace Formula

Turkey supports President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula and hopes that the Russia-Ukraine war will be ended through negotiations

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said this, Anadolu reports.

“Of course, our goal is a lasting peace and a mutually acceptable solution. We believe that this war will end at the negotiating table. The sooner, the better,” Çavuşoğlu said.

“Russia declares that it is now ready for negotiations. (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelenskyy proposed a 10-point peace plan. We, as Turkey, support this plan and continue our work,” he added, stressing that he sees the results of diplomacy.

Zelenskyy's Peace Formula has 10 steps, including restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity within the borders of 1991 and the payment of reparations by Russia. Ukraine’s president first announced his peace plan at a November summit of the G20 key economies.
