Trump: We have a deal with Russia, now we need one with Zelenskyy

He said this during a conversation with journalists in the Oval Office.

“I think we have a deal with Russia. We have to get a deal with Zelenskyy, and I hope that Zelenskyy — I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelenskyy, so far it's been harder but that's okay, it's all right,” said the American leader.

He was also asked about a possible meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Saudi Arabia. According to Trump, such a meeting is possible, though not confirmed at this time.

“ It's possible but most likely not. I think we'll meet with them shortly thereafter though," Trump added.

• Earlier, he said that the situation for Ukraine is “terrible.” According to him, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement that Kyiv will not recognize the occupation of Crimea is harmful to negotiations with the Russians.
