Transnistria is preparing an airfield to receive aircraft - General Staff

The invaders continue to actively use ammunition prohibited by international humanitarian law. They do not leave attempts to storm Mariupol. The defenders of the city have been holding a heroic defense for more than forty days, holding back the superior forces of the units of the Russian invaders.

Also, the Russian Federation continues to conduct a full-scale armed aggression against our state. The main efforts of the invader are focused on preparing for an offensive operation, the purpose of which is to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the report says.

In addition, the threat of the use of sea, air and land-based missiles by the invader continues to persist. The invaders inflict fire damage on the objects of the defense complex, logistics infrastructure and residential areas of cities.

At the same time, the invader is trying to improve the tactical position in the South Bug direction. The use of the territory of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian-Moldovan Republic to support an offensive operation in this direction is not ruled out. At the Tiraspol airfield, preparations are being made to receive aircraft.

The invader also does not abandon attempts to involve mercenaries from other countries in military operations against Ukraine in order to make up for their losses in manpower. At the same time, the use of mercenaries will not have a significant impact on the course of hostilities, given their small numbers.

The command of the 200 separate motorized rifle brigade (Pechenga, Murmansk region) of the 14th army corps, from which two battalion tactical groups were involved in the war with Ukraine, is training military personnel to replenish losses. According to available information, the total losses of the brigade in manpower are about 30%. One battalion tactical group was destroyed, the other was withdrawn to the area of ​​restoration of combat capability in the Belgorod region.

In the Volhynia direction, no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the occupiers were recorded. Some units of the Armed Forces of Belarus continue to carry out tasks to cover a section of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.

In the Polissya direction, the invaders did not take active actions. Part of the invader units withdrawn from the indicated direction are on the territory of Belarus.  Russian troops continue recovery measures, presumably with the aim of regrouping and strengthening other groups, said the General Staff.

"It is not ruled out that Belarusian units of Russian troops will remain on the territory of the republic in order to constrain the actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and prevent their transfer to other areas. Another goal is to assist the Republic of Belarus in covering part of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border", the report says.

In the Siversk direction, the restoration of the enemy occupation units, previously withdrawn to the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, continues.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues to blockade Kharkiv and inflict artillery shelling on its individual areas.

"According to available information, the losses of the 236th artillery brigade of the 20th combined-arms army amount to about 20 percent of the personnel and weapons. This significantly reduced the intensity of the brigade's actions", the General Staff noted.

In the Izyum direction, Russian invaders do not abandon their intentions to create a shock group and continue the offensive in the direction of Slovyansk and Barvinkove.

In the Donetsk direction, the invader is trying to improve the tactical position of his units. It continues to conduct assault operations in the areas of Popasna, Stepne, Novotoshkivske, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Solodke. All without success.

In the Taurida direction in the Basan region, the movement of individual units from the 58th combined arms army was recorded, probably with the aim of regrouping forces.

In the South Bug direction, the invader is taking measures to restore the combat capability and engineering equipment of positions.

"The terror of the civilian population continues in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region", the report says.

The invader, as a result of the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lost control over the settlements of Dobryanka, Novovoznesenske and Trudolyubivka. Fighting continues in the Oleksandrivka area.

The Air Force destroyed 8 cruise missiles.  Aviation continued to support the ground forces and carried out air strikes against the occupying forces.
