SBU materials helped sentence the vice mayor of the Russia-held town of Torez (Ukrainian - Chystiakove) to 15 years in prison. Woman was engaged in the deportation of Ukrainians to Siberia
Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) reported the information on Telegram.
The Security Service has collected evidence against another head of the Russian occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.
The SBU noted that the offender is the "deputy head of the administration of the city of Torez" (modern Ukrainian name - Chystiakove).
In this "position,” she fulfilled Moscow's task of deporting residents of the temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk region to Russia.
She organized a transshipment base in the city, which was used for the forced removal of residents of Mariupol and Volnovakha to remote regions of the Russian Federation.
Among the destinations were Siberia and the Far East.
Based on the SBU materials, the court sentenced the occupation "vice mayor" to 15 years in prison.
"As investigators have established, the offender joined the ranks of the DPR terrorist organization back in 2016. Then the occupiers appointed her "administrator of the occupation administration of Yenakiyevo." There, she organized anti-Ukrainian rallies, helped to quarter militants and contributed to their logistical support," the post reads.
She was later "promoted" to "vice mayor of Torez" and was assigned to be responsible for the "social block.”
Based on the evidence collected, the court found her guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- p. 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law);
- p. 1 of Art. 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).
The suspect is currently hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine. Comprehensive measures are being taken to bring the perpetrator to justice.
The investigation was conducted by the SBU in the Chernivtsi region under the procedural supervision of the prosecutor's office.
