Third time in a month: Russia repeatedly bombs Zmiinyi Island
On the night of July 30, the Russian army dropped two bombs on Zmiinyi Island in the Black Sea. This is the third time the Russians have attacked the island near Odesa from the air since July 2023
This was reported by the Operational Command South.
They noted that this night the enemy again resorted to air attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
"Tactical aviation in the Black Sea attacked Zmiinyi Island for the third time this month, dropping two aerial bombs of an unknown type on the island," the report says.
Drone attack on southern Ukraine
During the middle of the night, the Russians launched Shahed-136 attack drones from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. These drones targeted agricultural businesses in the Kherson region and the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to OC South, all four drones were destroyed by the air defense forces.
Some debris fell on the premises of one of the agricultural companies, causing a fire in a grain storage facility.
No one was injured, but the warehouses were damaged.

On the morning of July 13, the Russian army attacked Zmiinyi Island with a high-explosive aerial bomb. However, during the same night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to destroy one missile and ten Shahed drones in the southern region.

Additionally, on the night of July 30, the Russian military launched four strike and four reconnaissance drones over Ukraine. Thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian air defense forces, all enemy air targets were successfully shot down.
