They tortured people in Bucha: 4 Russian soldiers are informed about the suspicion of a crime

A lieutenant colonel, 2 sergeants, and a private of the 64th Detached Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 35th Russian combined army have been notified in absentia of suspicion of cruelty to civilians for torturing Bucha residents in March 2022

This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

As the investigation revealed, in March 2022, during the occupation of Bucha, the suspects, together with other unidentified military personnel of the Russian army, broke into the house of one of the local residents.

After that, by order of the lieutenant colonel, the owner of the house was taken out into the street, where he was knocked to the ground and beaten with hands and feet. At the same time, the Russians demanded to provide them with information about the patriotic inhabitants of the city.

After that, the man was blindfolded with a towel and taken to the headquarters of the Russian occupiers, where civilians were kept. 

The beatings continued there. The Russians forced the victim to completely undress and looked for tattoos on his body. In order to intimidate, the occupiers simulated the execution of other Ukrainians present in the premises.

The man managed to escape from the Russians at the moment when they led other civilians to execution.

It is noted that the lieutenant colonel, two sergeants, as well as a private of the 64th Detached Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 35th Russian combined army of the were informed in absentia of the suspicion of cruel treatment of the civilian population (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
