They are fighting according to centuries-old schemes: fighter with 24th Brigade explains how Ukraine's Armed Forces differ from their Russian foe

This is stated on the brigade's Facebook page, Espreso West reports.

He had previously served in the Royal Brigade under a contract that expired in 2021. Then he went to work in the Czech Republic. It was there that he received the news of a full-scale invasion.

"There was no hesitation. On February 28, I returned to my native brigade. Having served in the artillery for 5 years, I understood that the same volume of work could be performed by me or 5 new people who needed to be trained, and there was no time for this. It was necessary to protect  the state here and now," the military man said. 

According to him, in order to fight successfully, you need to constantly improve your skills and be creative.

"Actually, this is what makes us different from the Russians. They fight according to old schemes that are probably centuries old. They are predictable, and we have always tried to approach tasks creatively. It seems to me that this factor plays a big role in the fact that we are successfully fighting against the army that is superior to us," Dmytro noted.

He also emphasized that he gets the motivation to continue the struggle primarily from his family and relatives.

"We are here for them. And my colleagues and I do not want our children and grandchildren to fight. Let them live a calm and comfortable life. And for this we must win, and it will definitely come," the soldier with the 24th Brigade said.
