There is no doubt that Russia will launch offensive in Zaporizhia or Kherson directions - Ukrainian Security Service Colonel Kostenko

He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"We must not forget that the South is necessary for the Russian Federation, and we must be careful both here and in the Zaporizhzhia direction. These two directions – Zaporizhzhia and Kherson – should be under the close attention of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since it is unclear where the enemy will go on the offensive. And I have no doubt that he will go on the offensive because the commander was replaced with Surovikin not just so that he could withdraw troops, but so that he would show some result," Roman Kostenko said.

The Security Service of Ukraine colonel noted that the Ukrainian military should be on its guard since the offensive of the Russian invaders may occur in one of two directions.

"I think that missile strikes are not the result, anyone could have done it, given the command to commit terrorist acts, but Surovikin is expected to seize territories. So we need to be careful. And Southern Ukraine and gaining a foothold up the Dnipro river is essential for the Russian Federation. Therefore, we must be careful," he added.
