"The weather is on our side": AFU officer on situation around Avdiivka
Officer of the 59th Detached Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, Serhiy Tsehotskyi, noted that the Defense Forces successfully repelled attacks by Russian forces near Avdiivka
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"We firmly hold our positions around Avdiivka, all Russia's offensive attempts are repelled. Defense forces are destroying the enemy. The weather is helping us now, nature is on our side and it is almost impossible for vehicles to enter the battlefield," emphasized Tsehotskyi.
According to the officer, the situation around the Avdiivka spoil tips is under fire control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Over the last day our brigade alone destroyed over 30 invaders. We detected fortification people’s blindages and destroyed invaders' equipment. They do not have the forces and means to fulfill the task set by their command. No small arms fire was recorded in our sector," added Tsehotskyi.
