US, Japan agree on new sanctions against Russia
US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida have agreed to strengthen sanctions against Russia

"Regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the two leaders concurred on continuing severe sanctions against Russia and robust support for Ukraine," the statement reads.
In addition, Kishida said he appreciated President Biden's leadership and US diplomatic efforts, including the implementation of humanitarian pauses on the situation in Israel and Palestine.
- Earlier, the United States issued an order suspending export privileges for three companies and seven individuals involved in the supply of electronics to Russia.
