The Russians fired missiles at Lviv: there is no electricity in part of the city, there are victims
In the evening of May 3, Russian troops launched missile strikes on Lviv. Two people were injured.
The city Mayor Andriy Sadovyy and the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported this.
Kozytskyi noted that out of six enemy missiles, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down two over the Lviv region. Three hit electrical substations in the Lviv region. One – to an electrical substation in Transcarpathia. It is assumed that the missiles flew from the Caspian region.
“Three electric substations in Lviv have been severely damaged. There is a delay in the movement of trains,” he said.
There are 2 victims now. They are getting medical care.
“Two people went to the regional medical institutions with shrapnel wounds. According to them, they were not far from the places of the explosions. The condition of the victims is moderate," the head of the Regional Military Administration said.
According to the mayor of Lviv, there is serious damage to the municipal infrastructure of the city, the windows flew. There are also problems with electricity supply in the part of communal infrastructure, in particular in medical institutions.
There was no light in Zaliznychny and Shevchenkivsky districts (Lviv regions ed.).
Also there was a fire at one of the power substations.
And two pumping stations in Lviv were de-energized.
“We are restoring water supply through alternative sources of electricity,” the mayor said.
Because of occupiers’ shelling of railway substations, a number of UZ (Ukrainian railway ed.) trains will run with a delay.
.On the evening of May 3, at least four explosions were heard in Lviv. Later it became known about missile strikes in the city.
