"The Russian forces have an order to hold Svatove": Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Katkov describes frontline situation in Luhansk region

Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Oleh Katkov said this on Espreso TV. 

“The Russian forces have an order to hold Svatove. Defense lines were being created there for about a month. Cutting any route that connects Svatove along the north-south axis will not mean that it has been cut off,” he said.

According to Katkov, Ukraine's Armed Forces are "cleaning up" certain positions, which in the future may become areas for continuing the counteroffensive.

“Now, in general, a certain stabilization is taking place there. We are waiting for reports from the General Staff,” the expert concluded.
