"The final attempt to pressure Lukashenko": diplomat Chalyi on Putin's visit to Belarus
Diplomat Valerii Chalyi believes Russia is preparing to launch an offensive on Ukraine from the territory of Belarus
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
“I have no doubt that Putin will demand that Lukashenko join the war against Ukraine during his visit to Belarus. Lukashenko has already been warned that he can be physically removed. Therefore, Putin is going to Belarus to make sure that Lukashenko understands everything,” Chalyi explained.
The diplomat is convinced that Putin is preparing to attack Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.
“Unfortunately, the probability of re-crossing the Ukrainian border from the territory of Belarus is increasing. Personally, I believe that the Russians will inevitably cross the border from the territory of Belarus again. Since Putin needs to involve not only Lukashenko and his entourage, but also the whole of Belarus in this war. This adventure will not mean success for the Russians. However, it is important for them to once again cross the Ukrainian border from the territory of Belarus,” he added.
