Tactical nuclear weapons can be destroyed on Belarusian territory - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Lapin
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Igor Lapin suggested that if nuclear weapons are deployed on the territory of Belarus, they can be destroyed by conventional means.
He expressed this opinion in the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on the Espreso TV channel.
"I would like to emphasize that until a nuclear warhead takes off from a missile, it is just a piece of iron. You can call it a nuclear dirty bomb or something else. That is why nuclear weapons themselves, before they are launched and brought into combat readiness, are a piece of iron that can be destroyed by conventional means. Including by sabotage groups. It will not have a large explosive force, but it will contaminate a large area. This is exactly what Lukashenko is exposing Belarus to. He can create another Chornobyl zone in Belarus," Lapin explained.
The Armed Forces officer emphasized the threats of nuclear weapons deployment in Belarus.
"The deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus poses a greater threat to our Western partners. Because we already have an inadequate neighbor with nuclear weapons. And we are already at war with Russia. The question of whether Belarus will enter the war is another situation that is difficult to predict," he added.
