A Syrian ship loaded in Feodosia with barley exported from the occupied Ukrainian territories entered the Lebanese port of Tripoli on July 27, according to the Ukrainian embassy in Lebanon.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon reported this on Facebook.
On July 28, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon Ihor Ostash met with the President of the country Michel Aoun. During the meeting, the issue of supplying Ukrainian wheat to the Lebanese market was discussed. It is noted that despite military actions by the Russian aggressor, Ukraine remains a reliable partner of Lebanon and will ensure its food security.
The ambassador drew the president's attention to the fact that on July 27, a Syrian ship entered the sea port of Tripoli, which was loaded with barley exported from the occupied territories in the port of Feodosia.
"A request was made to take measures to clarify the circumstances of the vessel's stay in Lebanese territorial waters. It was also emphasized that this fact could harm bilateral relations", it is noted.
The Ukrainian Ambassador also informed the President of Lebanon about the military situation in the South and East of Ukraine.
