Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad arrives in Russia
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has arrived in Moscow on his first official visit outside the Middle East after two earthquakes hit Syria and Turkey

Sky News reports that he intends to hold talks with Vladimir Putin, accompanied by a large ministerial delegation.
The talks will include further development of Russian-Syrian cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as prospects for a comprehensive settlement of the situation in and around Syria.
On March 15, the deputy foreign ministers of Syria, Turkey, and Russia, as well as a senior adviser to their Iranian counterpart, are expected to discuss counterterrorism efforts in Syria.
