This was announced on the official website of the Swiss government.
Specifically, sanctions were imposed on 17 individuals and 58 companies linked to Russia’s military-industrial sector. Their assets have been frozen, and they are now banned from entering or transiting through Switzerland.
In addition, Switzerland blacklisted 189 vessels that belong to Russia’s so-called shadow fleet. On the trade front, tighter export controls were applied to another 31 companies, including some from third countries, meaning states outside the EU. Their access to European goods, especially those with potential military use, has been severely restricted.
All new sanctions took effect on June 3.
