Swedish and Danish embassies return to Kyiv
Embassies of Denmark and the Kingdom of Sweden resume their work in Kyiv.
Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde and Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofodu announced this on their Twitter.
"On Wednesday, the Swedish Embassy will re-open in #Kyiv.," she wrote. Earlier, the embassy moved its administration to Poland after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The resumption of work at the embassy is planned for May 4.
Meanwhile, the Danish foreign minister announced that from May 2 the Danish embassy will start working in the capital of Ukraine. Mr. Kofodu visited Kyiv to raise the Danish flag over the embassy himself.
"Just raised the flag at the Danish Embassy in Kyiv. An important step is that today we are reopening it after the Russian attack. It is touching to meet both local workers and Danes who have survived here in the capital for the last two months," he writes.
